When you decide to call a plumber for your plumbing issues, there are several things you should find out before hiring a company. Angies list has an excellent article entitled 7 Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Plumber. One question that is easy to overlook is if the plumber is insured – you want their insurance to be responsible if they cause physical damage or have an accident on your property.

Conclusion: Final cost is unknown until the plumber gives you a quote based on actually seeing the job –  although they should be able to give you a ballpark estimate over the phone. Just take a little time to do your due diligence because it is easy to both overpay for the work being done and to have sub-standard work performed by unlicensed individuals.
